Course Description

ESCI 463 -- WETLANDS FOR WASTEWATER TREATMENT (3) Introduction to conventional wastewater treatment methods (primary, secondary, and tertiary) and chemistry as it relates to wetlands and wastewater treatment. Examines the use of both natural and constructed wetlands for the treatment of municipal wastewater, acid mine drainage, stormwater runoff, and agricultural wastewater. Students will carry out research projects using campus stormwater wetland as study site.
