The Washington SBDC promotes economic vitality within Washington communities by providing expert business advising, demand-driven training, and applied research to existing businesses and entrepreneurs.

We are an appointment based, confidential, business advising service for local business owners. We meet with business owners or managers, one-on-one, to work on a variety of business topics:

Your Business Advisor


Jennifer Shelton is a Certified Business Advisor with the Washington Small Business Development Center Network (SBDC). She brings over 15 years business development experience in corporate, non-profit and service businesses areas including starting and managing a retail coffee house.

Jennifer has worked with WSBDC for over 6 years. While directing the operations of the SBDC serving SW King County she was awarded ‘Outstanding Business at Large’ for 2003 by the SW King County Chamber. She also worked as a consultant for "Washington's SBA Business of the Year" in 2002

Jennifer holds an MBA from Western Washington University and a BA of Communications from Seattle Pacific University. She also has additional certification in Sales & Marketing and Professional Coaching.

She is passionate about supporting entrepreneurial spirit and empowering business owners by providing access to the information & tools they need to create and sustain successful business ventures.
