XBRL - The 2006 Beta Alpha Psi Northwest Regional Conference featured many informative and entertaining speakers, including Charles Hoffman, the father of XBRL. XBRL is an open source financial reporting language that is taking the world by storm. The regional conference featured a manuscript competition on the topic. Any WWU student interested in accounting/finance/information systems may join the WWU Accounting Society.
Accounting Society members who meet grade point, service & participation requirements may also join Beta Alpha Psi, the International Honor Society for Financial Information Students and Professionals.
