About Us

The Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management (MSCM) Program at Western offers students an exceptional and unique opportunity. Career positions in MSCM continue to be in high demand, and WWU is one of a handful of universities in the US offering an undergraduate BS degree in this exciting field.

From the moment a student is accepted into the program, to graduation and beyond, the benefits joining the MSCM Program abound. Because the size of the program is relatively small (30-40 students), individual attention is given to every participant. On acceptance each student is:

• Provided a faculty advisor
• Assigned a senior level student mentor
• Paired with a business mentor from leading Northwest companies
• Eligible for scholarships reserved exclusively for MSCM students
• Included in business tours, special events, lectures, and the APICS club

Internships are a cornerstone of the program (6 months required), providing real-world work experience for every student. Advisory board companies typically provide these paid positions for students during the summer months. Students of the program graduate with confidence that they can contribute immediately, and actual work experience on their resume to back this up. This is a compelling combination.

You can learn more about MSCM by viewing the following:
Curriculum- The Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management(MSCM) curriculum is unique in its combination of academic learning and practical experience.

Faculty- Dedicated, technically current, and involved faculty.

Advisory Board- A group of corporate managers from leading Northwest companies that advise on curriculum and provide mentoring to students and alumni.

"This degree is the perfect example of what results from successful collaboration between industry partners and faculty. The relevance of the curriculum produces students who are immediately able to contribute whether during their first internship, or as a full time employee upon graduation."
